Complete bathrooms

Everything comes out and the room is rebuilt from the substrate outward. Once the old suite and tiling have gone we deal with whatever has been sitting behind them, then set the services out around how the room will actually be used.

  • Full strip-out, removed from the property
  • Supply and waste repositioned for the new layout
  • Boarding across the walls, tanking through the wet zone
  • Bath, shower, basin, WC, brassware and wastes
  • Tiling or panelling, together with the floor covering
  • Recessed lighting, extraction and a heated rail
  • Sealed, run, inspected and cleaned before handover

Walk-in showers

This usually begins with a bath nobody has used in years. Once it has gone the room reads far larger, and in a bathroom of ordinary proportions the whole exchange takes days rather than weeks.

  • Bath lifted out and taken from site
  • Waste and supply moved to suit the tray position
  • Boarding and tanking behind anything meeting water
  • Slimline trays with framed or frameless glass
  • Thermostatic valves, rainheads and hand sets
  • Rails and reduced thresholds where access matters

Wet rooms

Take the tray out of the equation and the floor itself becomes the shower — tanked throughout and graded to the outlet. Nothing to step over anywhere, which is why it is the option we put forward first where mobility governs the decision.

  • Floor built up, tanked throughout and graded to fall
  • Recessed formers and slot drainage
  • Tanking carried up the walls as well as over the floor
  • Underfloor warmth where wanted
  • Anti-slip and oversized floor formats
  • Frameless fixed glass panels

En-suites & cloakrooms

The smallest rooms take the most working out. Which way the door swings, what headroom exists beneath a staircase, whether the soil stack is anywhere within reach — settle those and a confined space still works every morning.

  • Layout worked around door swing and ceiling height
  • Quadrants and squares for genuinely tight corners
  • Wall-hung units so the floor runs on underneath
  • Shallow-projection pans and slimline basins
  • Cloakrooms and WCs beneath the stairs
  • Mechanical extraction for internal rooms

Tiling, panelling & floors

This is what separates a room that looks installed from one that looks designed. Lines struck from the centre, joints running true, and grout and sealant specified to the tile rather than taken from whatever was left in the van.

  • Porcelain in oversized formats, metro and mosaic
  • Textured relief tile and reeded feature panels
  • Lit recesses and niches formed into the wall
  • Panelling where fewer days and less dust are the priority
  • Floor tile, luxury vinyl and sheet vinyl
  • Grout and sealant specified to match

Single fittings

Plenty of enquiries are about a single item rather than the whole room. Perhaps it has stopped working, or perhaps it has simply dated badly. We change it over and leave the rest of the room precisely as it is.

  • Baths and bath panels
  • Showers and thermostatic valves
  • Basins, vanity units and brassware
  • Pans, cisterns and concealed frames
  • Traps and wastes that have begun to weep
  • Heated rails and bathroom radiators

Included as well

Things people rarely think to ask about

I

Lighting & extraction

Recessed downlights, illuminated mirrors, shaver points and extraction wired while the room is open, sparing you a separate trade.

II

Warmth

Heated rails, radiators and underfloor matting fitted at first fix, while the boarding is lifted and the runs remain easy to reach.

III

Making good

The line where the previous tiling stopped, the ceiling above it and the corners nobody enjoys — filled, skimmed and blended out.

IV

Accessible bathing

Level floors, trays with almost no upstand, and rails anchored into something that will genuinely take a person’s weight.

V
